Last week was rough to start out with, because I was
sick for the first part, then my comp got sick, so things were a little slow.
But we managed to get out everyday to get some work done so that was really
good. And we finished strong this week too even though it is SOOO COOLD! Like,
freezing. I sometimes feel silly with how much I'm wearing when I'm walking
around, but it is just so dang cold. Que va a hacer...
The miracle of this week was that Susanna came to church!!! Oh we were SOO happy, because the past Sundays we have had here we have ran around to so many houses trying to pick up people who said the night before that they would come to church, but backed out on us the morning of. We usually spend the first 2 hours calling people, running around to pick up people, and in Paraná we usually had 3 investigators show up, but here none. BUT FINALLY, yesterday Susanna came! And we were so happy. And she loved it as well (they always do, silly people). I even got extra ready for church wearing my boots that I bought here that are so cute, that I promised myself I would save for when I get home, but I wanted to show Susanna them, and I told her I would wear them to church so she could see them there. Susanna is really funny, I love her so much.
This week we walked into a store to get some fruit, and a man asked me "do you speak English?" and I responded "a little". After, I paused and thought "why the heck did I say a little? It's my native language!!!" haha I felt so dumb for the rest of the night. Hermana Reyes was making so much fun of me. Guess that's what happens when you stop speaking English for 4 weeks straight haha.
Oh and our president called us and told us we can't drink maté anymore ;-( I was bummed, turns out its delicious!
I don't have a lot of other cool stories for this week. I received Jocelyn's wedding invitation! I love the picture! haha Joc better watch out though, my comp was drooling over her fiancee. I loved the invitation.
