This week was a ton better. I have happy weeks when people listen :-) and we found and taught lots of people. So I was a very, very, happy missionary. When people just let me talk and tell them how much I love the Savior and how grateful I am for the gospel in my life, I feel just a sense of happiness I cannot describe.
So this weekend was the ward christmas party. I was in charge of doing a little "skit" for all the ward missionaries and the recent converts in our ward. I came up with this simple idea that was supposed to be a little goofy but bring a good christmas spirit message. One person was going to be standing with this giant heart and different people were going to try to come and "buy" the heart from her, but she was supposed to say no to everyone, but for the last person she would give in and give her heart away, and then the people would all come back and rip apart her heart because she sold it for a worldy cause, but then we would come in and say how Christ literally can heal us when we feel broken hearted, if we choose to come unto him. then we would read a scritpure and give her a new prettier heart and that was the skit. Simple but cute. OK, but I decided it would be funny if one of our ward missionaries would be the person with a heart. She is this 70 year old lady who is not alllll the way there, just a crazy old lady. When we did a little practice, it was hilarious because she pretended to cry and wail and it was hilarious how dramatic she got, so it was perfect. WELL, the night of,I think she got stage fright or something, even though it was just in front of our branch, becasue when she was supposed to give her heart away she didnt! The person was like "are you SURE you dont want to give your heart to me for this car???" (because she was supposed to say yes) "Nope, how am I supposed to live without my heart?" hahhahaa I was literally dying of laughter. It was going just so terribly and I didnt know how to fix it. Finally he ripped the heart from her and tore it up, and she didnt cry, she started LAUGHING, for who knows what reason (please picture an old lady hysterically laughing when someone is ripping apart their "heart") and I came over and said "hermana how are you?" She was supposed to say sad because her heart was broken, but she said "bien. muy bien" haha I was just loosing it and laughing so hard. That was how our skit went downhill, and then the choir was after, and I must say I had by FAR the best voice, and I sing terribly. It was like nails on a chalkboard, the choir. all pretty funny. made for good memories.
Its hot here, like, really hot. I sometimes just wish I could accidently fall into a pool...may happen soon.
Yes changes were this week but I already knew I was going to stay with Tourtillott becasue I'm training. I found out Kastigar is training as well! BOSS! She is the best. I get to see her on Saturday at a conference and I'm SOOO EXCITED!!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. Don't forget that it is Jesus' birthday, and the gift He would like to recieve the most is when we are in the service of our fellow men. Plus, it always makes you feel so good inside when you serve. I love it.
